ABSTRACT

The ideal patch material for aortic arch reconstruction in neonates and infants has not been yet identified. Several materials have been used, such as autologous pericardium, bovine pericardium and homografts. The goal is to maximize the use of autologous tissue to allow growth and minimize future reinterventions/reoperations. We present the technique of autologous pulmonary artery patch reconstruction of the aortic arch in a case of type B interruption in a neonate.
