ABSTRACT
Acute limb ischemia (ALI) and compartment syndrome (CS) are pathologies that can be difficult to identify but have devastating outcomes if not diagnosed in a timely manner. ALI can be missed if the provider fails to perform a pulse examination on every patient and fails to recognize the subtlety of early presentation. CS can be missed if providers are not aware of atypical presentations and fail to consider the diagnosis in certain at-risk patient populations.
