ABSTRACT
A case of thyrotoxicosis-induced pericarditis and pleuritis is presented, detailing the potential pitfalls of diagnosis and therapy. The authors wish to draw attention to the fact that this thyroid disease should also be considered in cases of acute pericarditis, so that cause-related treatment can be initiated as soon as possible.
