ABSTRACT
This review analyzes the efficacy and safety of total arterial revascularization (TAR) in elderly patients. Given the global demographic aging and the high prevalence of coronary artery disease in individuals over 60, selecting the optimal coronary artery bypass grafting strategy is of paramount importance. The traditional use of autologous vein grafts is limited by their high susceptibility to atherosclerosis and occlusion in the long term. The TAR strategy, which utilizes only arterial bypasses (bilateral internal thoracic arteries, radial artery), aims to overcome this drawback.
